1 Scope
This Standard specifies the leather shoes which are made by all kinds of processes in terms of terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard is applicable to general leather shoes (including boots) whose uppers are made of natural leather, artificial material or mixture of more than one material.
This standard is not applicable to footwear for safety, protection or special purposes, nor leather shoes (including boots) for infants and young children and children.
