1 Scope
This standard specifies the last sizes of leather footwear, rubber footwear, cloth footwear, plastic footwear and athletic shoes.
This standard is applicable to lasts of the above footwear for the Chinese (adults and children).

3 Terminologies and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, "foot type" and "last type" defined in GB/T 2703, terminologies and definitions established in GB/T 3293.1 and the following ones apply.
3.1
Master model last of Middle size
The last of middle shoe size among each class of shoe sizes is referred to as the master model last of middle size. The middle shoe sizes of each class are detailed in 4.1. The middle sizes and model last sizes of different varieties of leather footwear, rubber footwear, cloth footwear, plastic footwear and athletic shoes are detailed in Chapter 6.
3.2
Last systems
A complete set of last sizes increased or reduced by the specified equal intervals between sizes with the master model last of Middle size as center is referred to as the last systems. Various last systems are detailed in Chapter 6.
3.3
Standard size
The characteristic position points on last bottom length and the joint girth are standard sizes and cannot be changed.
3.4
Reference size
The sizes listed in this standard, with exception of the standard sizes, are reference sizes.
