QB/T 2763-2006 Coated tinplate (or ECCS)
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of coated tinplate (or ECCS).
This standard is applicable to tinplate (or ECCS) coated with liquid organic coatings, which are cured into films by high-temperature baking, and used for the manufacture of food and beverage containers.

For the purposes of this standard, the following definitions apply.

intro-plate coating thickness deviation
maximum difference in film coating thickness at each specified part of the entire coated tinplate (or ECCS)
3.2
varnish
transparent organic coating made of synthetic resin
3.3
enamel
non-transparent organic coating with powder particles added to synthetic resin
4 Classification
4.1 Classification by coating type
4.1.1 Tinplate (or ECCS) coated with varnish.
4.1.2 Tinplate (or ECCS) coated with enamel.
4.2 Classification by film coating
The coated tinplate (or ECCS) may be divided into three types: A, B, and C.
4.3 Classification by resistance
4.3.1 Acid-resistant coated tinplate (or ECCS).
4.3.2 Sulfur-resistant coated tinplate (or ECCS).
