1 Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, application instruction, packaging, transportation and storage of tables and chairs for education.
This standard is applicable to the common tables and chairs for such educational institutions as university, middle school and primary school and training institution. Tables and chairs for other educational purposes may also comply with this standard.

3 Product Classification
3.1 By structure
a) Integrated tables and chairs: the tables and chairs which are integrated together and are used by one person or multiple persons;
b) Combined tables and chairs: the tables and chairs are relative independent single units and can be used in combination;
c) Adjustable tables and chairs: the height, area, relative position and other parameters of the tables and chairs are adjustable;
d) Non-adjustable tables and chairs: the height, area, relative position and other parameters of the tables and chairs are not adjustable.
3.2 By installation mode
a) Fixed tables and chairs: the tables and chairs are fixed at the installation site;
b) Movable tables and chairs: the tables and chairs are movable.
