1 Apparatus
1.1 Test apparatus consists of salt spray cabinet, saline water reservoir, compressed air supply (including purification ) system, nozzle sample holder and heating as well as other necessary control measures. If obtained condition can meet the requirements of this method, the dimension and detail structure of the apparatus are unrestricted .
1.2 Structural material of test apparatus shall not affect corrosion property of salt spray but it shall be corrosion resisting of salt spray.
1.3 The droplet coagulated on salt spray cabinet top is not allowed to drop on specimen.
1.4 Baffle is arranged in chamber to prevent salt spray from spraying on specimen directly.
1.5 At least two clean collectors shall be arranged at exposed zone in chamber . One abut against nozzle and the other one is at the place farthest from nozzle. For the positions they are arranged, it required that only salt spray but not liquid dropping from specimen or other parts in chamber shall be collected. Appropriate collector is hopper inserting into measuring cylinder with 10 cm in diameter, and the collection area is 80 cm2 .
1.6 If apparatus has already been used for test whose solution is different from that of this test, it must be cleaned sufficiently prior to use.
