1 Scope
This document specifies the rules and requirements for communication between electric vehicle and battery pack of battery swap system for battery electric passenger vehicles.
This document is applicable to the communication between electric vehicle and battery pack for on-board battery swap system for battery electric passenger vehicles.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 19596 and the following apply.
3.1
battery management system; BMS
system capable of monitoring the state (e.g. temperature, voltage and state of charge) of battery and providing communication, safety, cell equalization and management control for battery as well as providing the communication interface with application equipment
3.2
frame
set of data bits constituting a complete message
3.3
messages
one or more "CAN/CANFD data frames" having the same parameter group number
3.4
available energy
energy that can be released from the current battery according to the specified discharge conditions
3.5
insulation resistance
equivalent resistance of high voltage system to ground
3.6
electronic control unit; ECU
on-board computer composed of microcomputer and peripheral circuit
3.7
diagnostic trouble code; DTC
4-byte value used to identify the type of failure, associated failure mode, and the number of occurrences
3.8
unified diagnostic services; UDS
uniform diagnostic service standards performed by ECU with diagnostic function
4 General provisions
4.1 CAN2.0B/CAN FD/wireless communication protocols shall be adopted for the communication network between the electric vehicle and the swappable battery pack BMS.
4.2 The communication between the electric vehicle and the swappable battery pack BMS shall comply with the UDS diagnostic protocol.
4.3 The swappable battery pack BMS shall realize the monitoring and reporting of high voltage insulation resistance.
4.4 The swappable battery pack BMS shall monitor and report the high voltage interlock status.
4.5 The swappable battery pack BMS with battery thermal management function shall realize the temperature monitoring of battery cooling interface.
4.6 Refer to ISO 14229 and ISO 15765 for diagnostic services.
