1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, storage and preservation of electronic voltage regulator for automotive alternator.
This standard is applicable to electronic voltage regulator for automotive alternator (hereinafter referred to as regulator). It may also be adopted with reference for the tractors, internal combustion engines, construction machinery and other special-purpose alternator regulators.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
regulation voltage (VREG)
the output voltage of terminal B+ at the ambient temperature of 23℃±5℃ when the regulator works with the matched alternator and battery, and the alternator is operating at the rated speed and 10% of the rated output current
3.2
maximum peak value for rotor coil current (IFMM)
the maximum peak value for rotor coil current allowed by reliable operation of regulator
3.3
saturation voltage drop for output stage (VSAT)
the voltage of terminal F at the ambient temperature of 23℃±5℃ and under the specified DC voltage, with the maximum peak value for rotor coil current (IFMM) of regulator for operating
3.4
minimum operation voltage (VDMM)
the voltage of terminal D + of the regulator at the ambient temperature of 23℃±5℃ when the regulator is installed on the matched alternator with excitation diode (i.e., the specified field winding DC resistance Rf), and provides the specified pre-excitation current (i.e., under the specified charging indicator power and battery voltage)
