QC/T 985-2024 Automotive solar reflective coated laminated windscreen
1 Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage of automotive solar reflective coated laminated windscreen.
This document is applicable to automotive solar reflective coated laminated windscreen. For automotive solar reflective coated laminated non-windshield glass, refer to this document.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain requirements which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
GB/T 5137.2 Test methods of safety glazing materials used on road vehicles - Part 2: Optical properties tests
GB/T 5137.4 Test methods of safety glazing materials used on road vehicles - Part 4: Determination of solar characteristic
GB 9656 Safety technical specification for glazing materials used in power-driven vehicles
GB/T 10125-2021 Corrosion tests in artificial atmospheres - Salt spray tests
GB 11555 Motor vehicles - Windshield demisting and defrosting systems - Performance requirements and test methods
GB/T 11942 Colorimetric methods for colour building materials
GB/T 44153 General technical requirements for glazing materials used in power-driven vehicles
GB/T 43299 Test methods of electrical heating properties for glazing materials used in power-driven vehicles
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in QC/T 1119 and GB/T 43299 and the following apply.
3.1
total solar energy transmittance
sum of the direct solar transmittance and the coefficient of secondary heat transfer from the solar radiation absorbed by the glazing assembly into the vehicle interior
3.2
solar reflective coated laminated windscreen
a laminated front windshield glass product that is coated with at least one or multiple layers of metal or metal compound films (with the coated surface positioned inside the laminate), effectively reflecting solar radiant heat
3.3
solar reflective coated laminated windscreen with electro-heating
a laminated front windshield glass product featuring a heat-reflecting coating with an electrically heated film layer
3.4
stripe
strip defect on the coating surface of coated glass, where the brightness or reflective color differs from the overall appearance
3.5
stain
cloud-like, radial, or striped defects caused by unevenness of the coating layer or changes in the color of the coating surface on coated glass
3.6
water stain
defect that appears on the surface of the coating layer of coated glass in the form of water flow patterns
3.7
boundary ghosting
state of the coating layer boundary on coated glass that exhibits excessively wide borders, uneven transitions, or yellowing diffusion
3.8
electro-magnetic field aperture
areas with film removal or without coating on the solar reflective coated laminated windscreen, for the purpose of enabling vehicle-mounted wireless signal transmission
4 Product classification
Automotive solar reflective coated laminated windscreens are classified into with or without electro-heating types based on whether they have a heating function. They are also classified into Type I, Type II, and Type III based on the total solar energy transmittance.
