This part is Part 2 of TB/T 1484.
This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part replaces TB/T 1484.3-2010 Specification for Cables on Board Rolling Stock—Part 3: 30 kV Single Phase Power Cables. This part mainly has made the technical changes from TB/T 1484.3-2010 as follows:
——The terms and definitions of extruded insulation, conductor screen and insulation screen are deleted (3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 of Edition 2010);
——The constructional dimensions of cable are modified, including nominal conductor sections of 185 mm2 and 240 mm2 are added, the conductor diameters, nominal thicknesses of insulation, insulation diameters, nominal thicknesses of sheath and outside diameters of cable of the specifications are modified, and the item of conductor construction is deleted (Table 1 hereof; Table 1 of Edition 2010);
——The code compositions and meanings are modified (4.2 of Annex A hereof; 4.2 of Edition 2010);
——Environmental conditions are added (5.1 hereof);
——A maximum long-term working voltage is added (5.2.4 hereof);

1 Scope
This part of TB/T 1484 specifies construction and code, service conditions, technical requirements, inspection methods and rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of 30 kV single phase power cables for rolling stocks.
This part is applicable to 30 kV single phase power cables for rolling stocks (including EMUs).

4 Cable Construction and Code
4.1 Cable Construction Types and Dimensions
4.1.1 A cable is composed of conductor, extruded semi-conductive conductor screen, insulation, extruded semi-conductive insulation screen, wrapped semi-conductive insulation screen, metallic screen, isolation tape, sheath, etc. See Figure 1.

5 Service Conditions
5.1 Environmental Conditions
Cable shall be able to work normally under the environmental conditions as follows:
a) at an altitude not exceeding 2500m;
b) at an ambient temperature of -40 ℃~+40 ℃;
c) where the average maximum relative humidity of the most humid month is not larger than 95% (the monthly average minimum temperature of the month is 25 ℃);
d) where the ambient temperature during cable laying is not lower than -15℃;
e) in windy, sandy, rainy and snowy weather, and where phenomena like salt mist, acid rain and sandstorm occur occasionally.
Where the service environment goes beyond the said conditions, it shall be subject to negotiation between the supplier and purchaser.
5.2 Operating Conditions
5.2.1 The allowable long-term operating temperature for cable conductor is + 90℃.
5.2.2 Storage at an ambient temperature of -40℃~+70℃ shall be allowed.
5.2.3 Cable shall not be laid in ferruginous conduit but may be laid in non-ferromagnetic conduit.
5.2.4 Cable can work long-term at 33 kV or below.
