This standard replaces TB/T 2180-2006 Technical specification for electrified catenary inspection & maintenance railway working car. In addition to a number of editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to TB/T 2180-2006:

1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic form and optional devices, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, operation, operation assessment, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of overhead catenary inspection and maintenance vehicle for electrification railway
This standard is applicable to newly-built overhead catenary inspection and maintenance vehicle for electrification railway (hereinafter referred to as operation vehicle) with standard gauge powered by internal combustion engines, and may serve as a reference for other operation vehicles.

3 Basic form and optional devices
3.1 Basic form
3.1.1 The operation vehicle should be driven hydraulically or electrically.
3.1.2 Front and rear couplers shall be of automatic couplers with central buffer type.
3.1.3 Air brake shall be used for operation and parking brake shall be set for parking.
3.1.4 The operation platform shall be provided, and its form shall be determined by the supplier and the purchaser through negotiation.
3.2 Optional devices
The following optional devices shall be provided according to the needs of users:
a) wire-shifting device;
b) wire tightening device;
c) cold-running pantograph;
d) vehicle-mounted crane;
e) aerial work platform;
f) catenary detection device;
g) low speed running function, which shall be able to drive forward and backward in directions, and running speed shall be adjustable in the range of 0~10 km/h;
h) leveling device of operation platform;
i) wire lifting and shifting device.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Operating environment requirements
4.1.1 Temperature: -25℃~45℃;
4.1.2 Altitude: ≤ 2 500 m.
4.1.3 Operation condition: the wind speed is not more than 13.8 m/s.
4.2 Vehicle technical requirements
4.2.1 The operation vehicle shall be manufactured in accordance with this standard, relevant standards and product drawings and technical documents approved based on specified procedures. Raw materials and purchased parts shall conform to relevant standards and have certificate of conformity.
4.2.2 Axle load of operation vehicle: < 23 t.
4.2.3 Wheel diameter of operation vehicle: φ 840mm, φ 915mm and φ 1050mm.
4.2.4 Number of axles: 4.
4.2.5 Minimum radius of passing curve: 145 m.
4.2.6 Maximum two-way self-moving speed: not less than 100 km/h.
4.2.7 Maximum gradeability: 30‰.
4.2.8 Maximum allowable attachment (last three) speed for unpowered return: 120 km/h.
4.2.9 Operation vehicles applied to high-speed railways shall be able to run safely and operate normally when the super-elevation is not more than 175 mm.
4.2.10 The overall outline dimension of the operation vehicle shall meet the provisions of GB 146.1.
4.2.11 The welding, inspection and acceptance of all welds shall meet the requirements of GB/T 25336, GB/T 25337 and product drawings.
4.2.12 The quality of riveted structure shall meet the requirements of TB/T 2911.
4.2.13 The performance grade and tightening torque of all connecting bolts and nuts of the vehicle shall meet the requirements of relevant standards and shall have reliable anti-loosening measures.
4.2.14 The overall arrangement shall make the components easy to disassemble, adjust and maintain; the oil pipes, air pipes and cables of the vehicle shall be distributed reasonably, arranged neatly and fixed reliably. Each system shall be free of oil, air, power and water leakage, etc.
4.2.15 There shall be no overpressure at the elbow of the hard pipe, and there shall be a connecting hose with moderate length, strong binding and no friction between the relative moving parts. Color distinction shall be made according to the nature of use. All kinds of pipe joints are reasonably arranged and easy to overhaul.
4.2.18 Safety protection devices shall be set up in the parts involving driving safety, all of which shall be safe and effective.
4.2.17 The paint color of the vehicle and the position of the indicating nameplate shall conform to the product drawings. The coating and inspection acceptance shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 25337.
4.2.18 The operation vehicle shall be equipped with an obstacle eliminator, which shall be set according to the maximum width of the lower part of the vehicle, and the height of the bottom surface of the obstacle eliminator from the rail surface shall be 110 mm ± 20 mm under the preparation conditions.
4.2.19 The height between coupler center and rail surface shall be 880 mm ± 10 mm.
4.2.20 The operation vehicle shall be equipped with a ballast cleaning device with a size of 300 mm×200 mm and a distance of 25 mm from the rail surface.
4.2.21 The operation vehicle shall be equipped with high and low speakers, headlights, side lights and marker lights.
4.2.22 The operation vehicle shall be equipped with lighting devices to meet the requirements of night work.
4.2.23 The operation vehicle shall be equipped with communication devices at the cab and operation platform.
4.2.24 Train wireless dispatching communication equipment, operation control equipment and supporting components shall be installed in accordance with relevant railway regulations, and shall be adjusted to normal use.
4.2.25 Operating vehicles should be equipped with anti-overturning devices after off-line.
4.3 Power transmission system
4.3.1 Diesel engines and auxiliary devices shall comply with the provisions of 7.1.2 in GB/T 10082, with a rated speed tolerance of ±50 r/min.
4.3.2 The transmission system shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 10082.
4.3.3 The power transmission system shall be equipped with a power take-off device, which shall meet the power take-off requirements of the hydraulic system.
4.4 Traveling system
4.4.1 The traveling system shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 10082.
4.4.2 The static strength performance of bogie frame shall meet the requirements of TB/T 2368.
4.5 Brake system
4.5.1 The brake system shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 10082.
4.5.2 When traveling, it shall be able to control the operation braking at the same time on the cab and the operation platform.
4.6 Vehicle body
4.6.1 The strength performance of the underframe of the vehicle body shall meet the requirements of the traveling and operation of the operation vehicle. When the static strength performance is required to bear the weight equivalent to the structural load on the vehicle body, the longitudinal compression force of not less than 400 kN and the longitudinal tensile force of 300 kN shall be applied along the longitudinal centerline of the coupler, and the maximum equivalent stress of the vehicle body underframe shall not exceed the permissible value of the design. Others shall meet the requirements of GB/T 10082.
4.6.2 The vehicle body and driver's cab shall comply with those specified in GB/T 10082.

1 Scope

3 Basic form and optional devices
3.1 Basic form
3.1.1 The operation vehicle should be driven hydraulically or electrically.
3.1.2 Front and rear couplers shall be of automatic couplers with central buffer type.
