1 Scope
This code specifies the requirements of railway vehicle strength design and test evaluation.
This code is applicable to evaluating the structure strength of the newly-designed generally-used non-motor vehicle travelling on railway on standard gauge as well as its main components. Among which, the speed of passenger train construction is not more than 200 km/h, freight train not more than 120 km/h; gross traction load of train is not more than 6000t and the axle weight is not more than 25t where the coal conveying line is more than 10000 t or above. .
If the strength is affected by the significant change in vehicle structure, it shall be handled according to newly-designed vehicles.
Otherwise specified in design specification, strength design of special vehicle shall be in accordance with this code.
