1 Scope
This standard specifies basic requirements, test procedure, data processing and evaluation method for the impact test of rolling stock.
This standard is applicable to the impact test of general-purpose passenger cars and freight cars for railways with standard track gage. This standard applies to the impact test for dedicated freight and passenger cars by reference.
2 Normative References
The following documents for the application of this standard are essential. For dated references, only the dated edition of the normative reference referred to applies. For the undated references, the latest editions of the normative documents (including all the amendments) apply.
TB/T 1335 Code for Strength Design and Test Evaluation of Railway Rolling Stock
3 General
The impact test of rolling stock is carried out by impacting an unbraked cars under test, which stays on a straight and flat railway line, by the other one (impacting car) running with a certain mass at a speed, and at the same time recording and measuring the generated dynamic parameters (such as impact force and stress) with test instruments during the impacting process. During the above-mentioned test, one or more braked cars (blocking cars) stay (on the side without direct impact) about 1 m away behind the one under test so as to limit the displacement distance of the car under test after the impact.
The way to speed up the impacting car is to make it slide down freely by gravity from an appropriate height of a slope.
