Iron-nickel and iron-nickel-cobalt alloys with low expansion
1 Scope
This standard specifies the dimensions, shapes, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificates of bars, strips, flat bars, wires and pipes made of iron-nickel alloy of Grade 4J36, free-cutting alloy of Grade 4J38 and iron-nickel-cobalt alloys of Grades 4J32, 4J32A and 4J40.
This standard is applicable to the manufacture of low-expansion iron-nickel and iron-nickel-cobalt alloys for instrument parts of approximately constant dimension and high precision within a certain range of ambient temperature.
