Middle density polyethylene compounds for optical fiber cable sheathing
1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, labeling, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage of middle density polyethylene compounds for optical fiber cable sheathing.
This standard is applicable to middle density polyethylene compounds for telecommunication optical fiber cable sheathing, and may also be used for local telephone cables and other telecommunication cables.

3 Requirements
3.1 Appearance
The product is composed of black round particles, with a linearity of not greater than 2mm × 4mm. The particles shall be uniform, smooth-faced, and free of obvious impurities and connection of three or more particles.
