CJJ/T 220-2014 Standard for city heating system signs
1 General provisions
1.0.1 This standard is formulated with a view to standardizing the making, usage and maintenance management of city heating system signs, and giving play to the warning and prompt role of signs.
1.0.2 This standard is applicable to the making, usage and maintenance management of signs in heating-related places such as city heating production, transmission and distribution.
1.0.3 The city heating system signs shall be composed of colours, graphic symbols and characters, and shall be simple, understandable and easily identifiable to convey clear and specific information.
1.0.4 The making, usage and maintenance management of city heating system signs shall also comply with the requirements of the current relevant standards of China in addition to this standard.
2 Terms
2.0.1 prohibition sign

2.0.2 warning sign
graphical signs for reminding of paying attention to the surrounding environment to avoid possible danger
2.0.3 direction sign
graphical signs for forcing ones to take certain actions or preventive measures

enclosed or partially enclosed space, not designed as fixed workplaces, where the entry and exit is relatively confined and improper natural ventilation results in toxic hazardous combustibles & explosives accumulation or high temperature, deficient oxygen content

3 Sign classification
3.0.1 City heating system signs are classified into safety signs and special signs.
3.0.2 Safety signs are classified into prohibition sign, warning sign, direction sign and information sign. Safety signs shall be able to clearly express specific safety information, consisting of graphic symbols, safety colours, geometric shapes and characters
3.0.3 Special signs are classified into pipeline sign, installation sign and pipeline sign of heating plant and station. Special signs shall be able to clearly express specific information of heating system, consisting of graphic symbols, safety colours, geometric shapes and characters
