1 Application Scope
Application scope of motorcycles shall be in accordance with Article 1 of the Rules.
2 Terminologies and Definitions
Terminologies and definitions for motorcycles shall be in accordance with Article 2 of the Rules.
Terminologies and definitions relevant to product certification shall be in accordance with the “Regulations on Compulsory Product Certification” and all kinds of rules.
3 Reference Standards for Certification
The standards referenced for certification shall be in accordance with Attachment 1 – "Reference Standards for Type Test and Test Items" of the Rules.
In principle, the standards on which the certification and testing are based on shall be the latest editions issued by the administrative department of standardization of the nation. New applicable standards or other editions of service standards, if required, shall be added in accordance with CNCA’s announcements applicable to relevant standards or technical decisions of CNCA Technical Expert Panel (TC12) on Motorcycles and Components.
Producers and production enterprises shall consciously comply with compulsory requirements of national laws and regulations for safety, environmental protection, energy conservation and burglary prevention of motorcycles as well as those of relevant standards that are not completely (or partially) included into the Regulations
4 Certification Mode
Certification mode of motorcycles shall be in accordance with Article 4 of the Rules.
Based on the requirements of the Regulations and CNCA-00C-003 and the differences in production mode, enterprise management level and product characteristics, CQC adopts different certification modes in the specific implementation of type test, initial plant inspection and post-certification follow-up inspection.
