1.0.1 This code is formulated to realize the resource-based stormwater management, relieve waterlogging of urban area and make the Beijing stormwater management and harvest engineering advanced in technology, economic and rational and safe and reliable.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to planning and design of stormwater management and harvest engineering for constructed, renovated or extended buildings, residential plot and municipal construction projects in Beijing.
1.0.3 The planning and design of constructed, renovated or extended construction projects in Beijing shall cover stormwater management and harvest. The equipments for stormwater management and harvest shall be planned & designed, constructed and put into service at the same time as the principal part of the engineering.
1.0.4 The stormwater management and harvest engineering shall reduce runoff drainage and prevent waterlogging and resource-based utilization of stormwater and consider the demand of urban disaster prevention.
1.0.5 The construction of stormwater management and harvest engineering shall be determined according to hydrological geology, construction conditions and maintenance management and energy conservation and environmental protection and project benefits.
1.0.6 The stormwater management and harvest engineering shall adopt the extensive and effective new technology, new process, new material and new equipment on the basis of continually summing up the experiences in scientific research and production practice.
1.0.7 Equipments for stormwater management and harvest shall take protective measures to ensure the public safety.
1.0.8 The design of stormwater management and harvest engineering shall meet not only the requirements stipulated in this code but the current relevant national and local standard and specifications.
