本标准规定了埋地式液化石油气储罐定期检验的检验机构、检验人员、检验仪器设备、检验周期、检验准备工作的要求、检验项目和安全状况等级评定方法和出具检验报告的要求。
本标准适用于盛装液化石油气承载一定压力的密闭设备。
其范围规定为最高工作压力大于或等于0.1MPa（表压），且压力与容积的乘积大于或者等于2．5MPa・L的埋地式储罐的定期检验。
