本规程规定了大型浮顶储罐的选址、设计、施工、总平面布置、储罐设施等方面的安全技术要求。
本规程适用于山东省境内新建、改建、扩建且单罐容量大于等于50 000 m3的外浮顶储罐，单罐容量为30 000 m3到50 000 m3的外浮顶储罐可参照执行。
