1. Scope
This standard specifies the maximum allowable limits to the emission of 3 major atmospheric pollutants—sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and particulates or fume (dust)—from boiler (e.g. thermal power industry), industrial furnace (e.g. cement industry) and technological process.
This standard is applicable to the emission control for the existing stationary pollution sources within Chongqing, environmental impact assessment for new, environment protection facility design and final acceptance for the construction, renovation and extension projects and the emission control of after the projects are put into service.
According to principle of uncrossed implementation between integrated emission standard and industrial emission standard, coke oven shall comply with "Emission Standard of Air Pollutants for Coke Oven" (GB 16171-1996); incinerator with "Standard for Pollution Control on the Municipal Solid Waste Incineration" (GB 18485-2001), "Pollution Control Standard for Hazardous Wastes Incineration" (GB 18484-2001) and "Technical Standard for Medical Waste Incinerator (on trial)" (GB 19218-2003); coal industry with "Discharge Standard for Coal Industry" (GB 20426-2006); electroplating industry with "Discharge Standard for Pollutants from Electroplating" (GB 21900-2008); synthetic leather and artificial leather industries with "Emission Standard for Pollutants form Synthetic Leather and Artificial Leather Industry" (GB 21902-2008); magnesium and titanium industries with "Emission Standard of Pollutants for Magnesium and Titanium Industry" (GB 25468-2010); copper, nickel and cobalt industries with "Emission Standard of Pollutants for Copper, Nickel, Cobalt Industry" (GB 25467-2010); lead and zinc industries with "Emission Standard of Pollutants for Lead and Zinc Industry" (GB 25466-2010); aluminum industry with "Emission Standard of Pollutants for Aluminum Industry" (GB 25465-2010); vanadium industry with "Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Vanadium Industry" (GB 26452-2011); rare earths industry with "Emission Standards of Pollutants from Rare Earths Industry" (GB 26451-2011); ceramics industry with "Emission Standard of Pollutants for Ceramics Industry" (GB 25464-2010); flat glass industry with "Emission Standard of Air Pollutants for Flat Glass Industry" (GB 26453-2011); nitric acid industry with "Emission Standard of Pollutants for Nitric Acid Industry" (GB 26131-2010); sulfuric acid industry with "Emission Standard of Pollutants for Sulfuric Acid Industry" (GB 26132-2010); strontium salt industry with "Municipal Standard on Emission of Pollutants from Strontium Salt Industry of Chongqing" (DB 50/247-2007). Other industries of enterprises involved in emission of three major types of atmospheric pollutants--sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and particulates or fume (dust) shall comply with this standard.
