Determination of mineral oil content in phosphate ester fire-resistant fluid used in power plant
1 Scope
This standard specifies the summary of test methods, apparatuses and materials, test procedures, calculation, precision, reported value, etc. for the determination of mineral oil content in phosphate ester fire-resistant fluid used in power plant.
This standard is applicable to determination of mineral oil content in phosphate ester fire-resistant fluid used in power plant.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies.
GB/T 6682 Water for analytical laboratory use - Specification and test methods
3 Summary of test methods
Add alkali liquor to a certain amount of samples to completely saponify phosphate ester, extract mineral oil in samples with petroleum ether, transfer the extracted liquid to a beaker with constant weight, steam petroleum ether and weigh the total weight of beaker and mineral oil in it again, and the difference between the two weighing is the content of mineral oil in samples, and the result is expressed by mass percentage.
4 Apparatus and materials
4.1 Potassium hydroxide: analytically pure;
4.2 Petroleum ether: analytically pure, with a boiling range of 60°C to 90°C.
4.3 Water: shall meet the requirements for Grade 3 water as specified in GB/T 6682.
4.4 Flask: 500 mL.
4.5 Beaker: 150 mL.
4.6 Pipette: 50 mL.
4.7 Separating funnel: 250 mL.
4.8 Spherical or straight reflux condenser: about 300 mm long.
4.9 Electric plate: adjustable, with working temperature not greater than 100 °C.
4.10 Electric jacket: adjustable, 500 mL, with the maximum service temperature of 380 °C.
4.11 Desiccator.
4.12 Balance: with a sensibility of 0.1 g or 0.1 mg.
4.13 Zeolite: Porcelain tube or glass bead.
