本标准规定了额定电压72.5kV及以上，频率为50Hz的户内和户外安装的气体绝缘金属封闭开关设备(以下简称GIS)的现场耐压及绝缘试验要求及方法。72.5kV以下的可参照本标准。
本标准适用于全部或部分采用气体作为绝缘介质的气体绝缘金属封闭开关设备。GIS新安装部分、扩建部分及解体检修的部分均应按本标准试验。
单独使用的SF6罐式断路器可参照本标准执行。
