1 Scope This standard specifies the requirements of research degree, type, control degree, working quality, feasibility evaluation and mineral resource/reserve estimate for copper, lead, zinc, silver, nickel and molybdenum mineral exploration. This standard is applicable to the mineral exploration and mineral resource/reserve estimate of copper, lead, zinc, silver, nickel and molybdenum and the acceptance and approval of copper, lead, zinc, silver, nickel and molybdenum mineral exploration report; it may also serve as the criterion for mining right transfer, mining right assessment during mineral exploration & development funding, financing and stock exchange listing as well as mineral resource/reserve estimate. 2 Normative References The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments to (excluding amending errors in the text), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to research whether the latest edition of the normative document is applicable. GB/T 17766-1999 Classification for Resources/Reserves of Solid Fuels and Mineral Commodities GB/T 13908-2002 General Requirements for Solid Mineral Exploration 3 Destination Task of Exploration 3.1 Preliminary Exploration For regions with metallogenic prospect of copper, lead, zinc, silver, nickel and molybdenum, preliminarily predict the possible resource quantity through miscellaneous geological investigation, preliminary field observation and thimbleful engineering verification, and propose region with large mineralization potential for general exploration. 3.2 General Exploration Carry out geological feasibility evaluation through effective technical works like geology, geophysical prospecting and geochemical prospecting as well as limited engineering verification and sampling test in regions or sections with larger mineralization potential, estimate the mineral resource quantity accordingly, propose the availability of further detailed exploration value and delimitate the range of detailed exploration area. 3.3 Detailed Exploration Control the orebody in the detailed exploration area with various exploration methods, measures and systematic sampling engineering and estimate the mineral resource/reserve; evaluate whether industrial value is available through preliminary feasibility research, and delimitate the range of exploration area. 3.4 Prospecting Search the mineral resource/reserve of orebody in exploration area through densifying various sampling engineering and adopting other technical methods; meanwhile, provide necessary geological information for feasibility evaluation, mining right transfer and mine construction design and submit relevant geological exploration report. 3.5 Exploration Sequence Exploration shall be carried out according to sequence of project approval demonstration, design editing, implementation organization and report preparation. 4 Exploration Research Degree
