Measurement of loop density of knitted fabrics 1 Subject content and applicable scope This standard specifies the method for measuring the loop density of knitted fabrics. This standard is applicable to the measurement of loop density of knitted fabrics. This standard is not applicable to knitted fabrics with color weave and warp weave. 2 Definitions density of loop per unit area 3 Principle The loop density of knitted fabrics is a measure of the total number of loops per unit area on the knitted fabrics, with the unit of loop/100 cm2. 4 Equipment and supplies 4.1 Plastic glass plate: A square plastic glass plate frame with a side length of 10 cm. There is a small needle on each corner to prevent sliding on the knitted fabric when measuring, see the figure below.
