1 Scope This standard specifies 3 testing methods for interlacing degree of synthetic filament yarns: Method A: manual needle-transfer method; Method B: manual heavy hammer method; Method C: instrument needle-transfer method. This standard is applicable to synthetic filament yarns for textiles. Method A is primarily applicable to fully drawn yarns, Method B is primarily applicable to interlacing degree of stretch yarns while Method C is applicable to fully drawn yarn and interlacing degree of stretch yarn. In case of any dispute in testing result, Method A and Method B are adopted. 2 Normative References The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments to (excluding amending errors in the text), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to study whether the latest edition of the normative document is applicable. Off-machine inspection may refer to the rapid conditioning specified in Appendix A. 4.2.1.2 For standard atmosphere used for laboratory sample testing, the secondary standard requirements of temperate standard atmosphere used for testing in GB 6529-1986 is adopted; the testing is carried out under temperature of (20±2)
