3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
beachwear
an outer garment for outdoor wear, including beach skirts, beach trousers, beach outer garment, etc.
3.2
children’s wear
the garment for children of 3 to 14 years old
4 Product size designation
The size designation shall be carried out according to the requirements of GB/T 6411 or GB/T 1335 (all parts). For products with special style, specifications and dimensions of main parts shall be marked in centimeters according to design requirements, such as: length × width, like beach shawl, etc.
5 Requirements
5.1 Requirements content
The requirements involve inherent quality and appearance quality. Inherent quality includes indexes for bursting strength, fiber content, formaldehyde content, pH value, peculiar smell, decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyestuff, dimensional stability to washing, colour fastness to soaping, water, perspiration, sea water, rubbing and light, as well as colour fastness to light of textiles wetted with artificial perspiration, colour fastness to transfer in joints, and appearance quality after washing; the appearance quality includes indexes for surface defect, specification and dimension deviation, dimensional difference in symmetrical positions, and sewing requirements.
5.2 Grading requirements
5.2.1 The products are classified into superior products, first-grade products and acceptable products in terms of the quality grade.
5.2.2 The products are graded by batches in terms of inherent quality and by pieces in terms of appearance quality, and shall take the lowest grade in case of a combination of both.
5.2.3 For all inherent quality indexes, the worst test result is regarded as the grading basis for this batch of products.
5.2.4 Where appearance quality problems of different product grades are found on the same product, the product shall be graded according to the lowest quality grade. For one product, no more than two limit surface defects of the same grade are allowed to exist; otherwise, this product shall be degraded by one grade.
5.3 Requirements for inherent quality
5.3.1 See Table 1 for the requirements for inherent quality
Table 1 Requirements for inherent quality

Note: For grading of colour, dark colour is greater than 1/12 of the standard depth and light colour is less than or equal to 1/12 of the standard depth according to GSB 16-2159.
5.3.2 Elastic fabrics refers to fabric containing elastic fiber or rib fabric.
5.3.3 Elastic fabrics and products with hollowed-out, rib and burnt-out structures are not assessed for the bursting strength.
5.3.4 Elastic fabrics are not assessed for the horizontal dimensional stability to washing, shorts and short skirts are not assessed for the dimensional stability to washing, and wrinkled products are not assessed for the dimensional stability to washing in wrinkling direction.
5.3.5 The natural-colour and bleached products are not assessed for the colour fastness to soaping, water, perspiration, sea water, and rubbing.
