This document replaces FZ/T 80015-2012 Specification for garment CAD technology. In addition to editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to FZ/T 80015-2012:
a) The application scope of this document is modified (see Clause 1 herein; Clause 1 in Edition 2012);
b) The definitions of "garment CAD pattern making", "garment CAD grading" and "garment CAD marker making” are modified; "garment CAD modify pattern" is deleted; and "clothing CAD drawing", and the term and definition of "pieces" is added (see Clause 3 herein; Clause 3 in Edition 2012);
c) Requirements for the system are added (see 4.1 herein);
d) Modifications and additions are made to the pattern making, grading and marker making functions (see 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4 herein; 4.1, 4.2 and 4.4 in Edition 2012);
e) Requirement for CAD files in input/output is added (see 4.5.1 herein; 4.4.1 in Edition 2012);
f) Requirement for the output cutting bed file from is added (see 4.5.2 herein);
g) General for pattern making is added (see 5.1 herein);
h) Requirements are added for such types as external V-shaped cut, II-shaped cut, external BOX-shaped cut, and U-shaped cut (see 5.2 herein);
i) Requirements are added for such types as concaved and L-shaped corners (see 5.8 herein);
j) Clause 6 is restructured, and the standard numbers are updated as per the standard updates (see Clause 6 herein; see Clause 6 in Edition 2012);

1 Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions, functional requirements, rules for pattern making, software testing requirements, quality requirements, technical requirements for product data, and product files management and archiving requirements in connection with garment CAD software.
This document is applicable to the development of garment CAD software and the application of CAD technology in product design.

technology using computer to aid manual garment design, pattern making, grading, and marker making
3.2
garment CAD pattern making
technical work such as garment pattern drawing and editing, and dart and pleat treatment
3.3
garment CAD grading
process of making pieces of various specifications/sizes by regular grading of the pieces of reference specification/size according to certain grading rules and grading design
3.4
garment CAD marker making
the process to arrange the pieces in the designated area of the cloth according to data of the pieces, parameters of the cloth and the cutting technology, and output the marker making drawing
3.5
pieces
examples of templates in garment pattern making, such as front part and back part.
