GA 165-2016 Ballistic transparent material
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, grading and designation, technical requirements, inspection method, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of ballistic transparent materials.
This standard is applicable to the production, inspection and acceptance of transparent plates such as ballistic composite glass with ballistic resistance requirements.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
ballistic transparent material
plates with ballistic ability and light transmittance meeting certain requirements
3.2
testing card
corrugated fiberboard used to collect fragments from test sample
3.3
penetration
permeable hole appeared in the test sample after the sample was shot
3.4
fragment
fragments generated from the test sample that fly away from the sample body after the sample was shot
3.5
nominal total thickness
the minimum nominal value of the total thickness of a single layer or multiple layers of material consisting of a ballistic transparent material
3.6
fair hit
during the shooting test, the deviation of the angle of attack of the bullet is less than or equal to 5°, the distance between the impact point meets the requirements of Table 5, the distance between the impact point and the edge is greater than or equal to 50mm, and the type of bullet, the muzzle velocity of the bullet and the impact point meet the shooting requirements of Table 1
