1 Application scope
This standard specifies the discharge limits as well as monitoring and supervision requirements of water pollutants in ammonia industry enterprises or production facilities as well as relevant provisions for implementation and supervision of this standard.
This standard is applicable to the discharge management of water pollutants from existing ammonia industry enterprise or production facility.
This standard is applicable to the environmental impact assessment, environment protection facility design and environmental protection acceptance after completion of the development project of ammonia industry enterprise as well as the discharge management of water pollutants after the project is put into production.
It does not apply to the management of water pollutant discharge from the production of nitric acid, compound fertilizers and soda ash by combined-soda process.
This standard is applicable to pollutant discharge behaviors allowed by law. The site selection of the pollution source set newly and the management of the current pollution source in the special protected zone shall be executed according to the relevant provisions in such laws and rules as Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, Marine Environment Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Impact Assessment.
The discharge control requirements of water pollutants specified in this standard are applicable to the behaviors of the enterprises discharging water pollutants, directly or indirectly, out of their legal boundaries.
