本标准规定了主要用于工业用的带螺纹型或非螺纹型夹紧件的保护导体接线端子排，具有PE保护功能的接线端子排不大于120mm2(250MCM)，具有PEN保护功能的接线端子排大于或等于10mm2(AWG8)。本标准适用于电压不超过1000V(1140V)和1000Hz的交流电路以及电压不超过1500V的电流电路中连接截面积为0.2mm2~120mm2(AWG24~250MCM)的预制或非预制圆铜导体的保护导体接线端子排，保护导体接线端子排与GB14048.7-1998规定的接线端子排通常连在一起使用。本标准不适用于：――作为设备内部的特殊结构的保护导体接线端子排，其有关要求在产品标准中规定；――在将导线夹入接线端子前需要在导线上加装特殊构件的保护导体接线端子，如平面推入式连接件。――要求缠绕导线来实现连接的保护导体接线端子排，如需绞合接头的。――借助棱刀或尖头穿过绝缘来实现与导线直接接触的保护导体接线端子。--涉及其他特殊要求的保护导体接线端子。
