1 Scope
This standard specifies the activity concentration limits, performance requirements, sample preparation, performance test items and test methods for cemented waste forms of low-level radioactive waste (hereinafter referred to as "cemented waste forms").
This standard is applicable to cemented waste forms for near-surface disposal and cavern disposal.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
cemented waste form
A homogeneous waste product formed by mixing radioactive waste with cement-based materials according to a specified formulation.
3.2
free liquid
Liquid that has not fully participated in the hydration reaction during the solidification process and is capable of free flow.
4 Activity concentration limits for cemented waste forms
The activity concentration of cemented waste forms shall comply with the relevant requirements for low-level radioactive waste in the Classification of Radioactive Wastes.
5 Performance requirements
5.1 Free liquid
After curing under sealed conditions at room temperature, the cemented waste form shall not exhibit any exuded free liquid.
5.2 Mechanical properties
After curing under sealed conditions at room temperature and complete solidification, the compressive strength of the cemented waste form specimens shall not be less than 7 MPa.
5.3 Uniformity
After curing under sealed conditions at room temperature and complete solidification, the compressive strength of core samples drilled from full-scale cemented waste forms shall not deviate from the arithmetic mean by more than ±20 %.
5.4 Water resistance
5.4.1 Leaching resistance
At 25 ± 2 °C, the leach rate of nuclides on the 42nd day and the cumulative leach fraction at 42 days for cemented waste form specimens leached in deionised water shall meet the limit requirements of Table 1.
5.4.2 Immersion resistance
After the immersion resistance test, the appearance of the cemented waste form specimens shall not show obvious cracks or crazing, and the compressive strength loss shall not exceed 25 %.
5.5 Freeze-thaw resistance
5.5.1 After the freeze-thaw resistance test, the appearance of the cemented waste form specimens shall not show obvious cracks or crazing, and the compressive strength loss shall not exceed 25 %.
5.5.2 When the cemented waste forms are stored, transported and disposed of in environments where the annual minimum temperature is above 0 °C, this test may be omitted.
