GB15558的本部分规定了燃气用埋地聚乙烯管件的定义、符号、材料、一般要求、几何尺寸、力学性能、物理性能、试验方法、检验规则、技术文件、标志和标签，以及包装、运输、贮存。本部分适用于PE 80和PE 100材料制造的燃气用埋地聚乙烯管件。本部分规定的管件与GBl5558．1―2003《燃气用埋地聚乙烯(PE)管道系统第1部分：管材》规定的管材配套使用。本部分适用于下列连接方式的管件：――热熔对接及电熔连接的插口管件；――电熔管件：a)电熔承口管件；b)电熔鞍形管件。本部分不适用于利用加热工具的热熔承插连接的管件。在输送人工煤气和液化石油气时，应考虑燃气中存在的其他组分(如芳香烃、冷凝液等)在一定浓度下对管件性能产生的不利影响。
