GB 21456-2024 Minimum allowable values of the energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for household and similar kitchen appliances 1 Scope This document specifies energy efficiency grades and heating efficiency calculations, technical requirements and test methods for household and similar kitchen appliances. This document is applicable to the following household and similar kitchen appliances with a rated voltage of not greater than AC 250V: a) electric rice cookers heated by electric heating element or electromagnetic induction, with a rated power of not greater than 2,200W; b) electric pressure cookers with automatic working pressure control function, heated by electric heating elements or electromagnetic induction, with a rated power of not greater than 2,200W, a rated capacity of not larger than 10L and a rated cooking pressure of 40kPa~140kPa (gauge pressure). c) stew cookers and stew cups with a rated power of not greater than 2,200W; d) electric kettle that can be used to pour water from the spout by holding the handle and tilting the kettle, which is used only for boiling and heating water to boiling point and has no automatic water filling function; e) induction cookers with one or more heating unit(s), which has a rated power of 700W ~ 3,500W; f) microwave ovens (including combination microwave ovens) with a maximum rated input power of 2,500W or below, utilizing electromagnetic energy in the ISM band at a frequency of 2,450MHz to heat items and food in the oven cavity by resistive electric heating elements. Note: The ISM frequency band is a range of electromagnetic frequencies defined by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and adopted in CISPR11 standards prepared by the International Special Committee on Radio Interference (CISPR). This document is not applicable to the following kitchen appliances: ——commercial induction cookers, power frequency induction cookers and concave induction cookers; ——commercial microwave ovens, industrial microwave ovens and microwave ovens with range hoods. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. Notes: A timer is a continuous clock function (which may or may not be associated with a display) that provides regular scheduled tasks (e.g. switching) and that operates on a continuous basis. [Source: GB/T 35758-2017, 3.6] 3.3 off mode(s) any mode of kitchen appliance that is not in standby mode, network mode or active mode and is continuous when the kitchen appliance's power supply unit is connected to the mains supply The indicator that prompts the user that the product is in the off position is included in the category of off mode. [Source: GB/T 35758-2017, 3.5] 3.4 network mode(s) mode of kitchen appliance where the kitchen appliance is connected to a main power supply and at least one network function is activated (such as reactivation via network command or network integrity communication) but where the primary function is not activated Note: Where a network function is not activated and/or not connected to a network, then this mode is not applicable. The network function may be triggered by a preset instruction set or a network request response. The meaning of "network" herein includes communication between two or more mutually independent power supply devices or kitchen appliances. A network does not include one or more controls which are dedicated to a single kitchen appliance. Network mode may include one or more standby functions.
