GB 22757.1-2023 Energy consumption label for light-duty vehicles—Part 1: For gasoline and diesel vehicles This document is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents. This document is Part 1 of GB 22757 Energy consumption label for light-duty vehicles. The following parts of GB 22757 have been issued: ——Part 1: For gasoline and diesel vehicles; ——Part 2: For off-vehicle chargeable hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles. This document replaces GB 22757.1-2017 Energy consumption label for light-duty vehicles - Part 1: For gasoline and diesel vehicles. In addition to structural adjustment and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB 22757.1-2017: a) The definition of the term "top runner fuel consumption” has been modified (see 3.2 hereof; 3.2 of Edition 2017); b) General requirements have been added (see Clause 4 hereof); c) Method for obtaining fuel consumption data has been modified (see 6.1 hereof; Clause 5 of Edition 2017); d) Method for calculating the estimated energy cost has been added (see 6.2 hereof); e) Method for obtaining CO2 emission data has been added (see 6.3 hereof); f) Requirements for labelling energy consumption have been modified (see 7.1.3.3; 6.1.1.2.2 of Edition 2017); g) Font and size of each functional area have been revised (see 7.2.3 hereof; 6.2.3 of Edition 2017); h) Electronic label has been added (see Annex A hereof); i) Requirements for labelling the patterns of functional areas have been modified (see Annex B hereof; Annex A of Edition 2017). Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. The issuing body of this document shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document was proposed by and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China. The previous editions of this document are as follows: ——The first edition was issued in 2008 as GB 22757-2008. ——The first revision in 2017 included the off-vehicle chargeable hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles into the application scope of the label, and was issued in several parts, i.e., Part 1: For gasoline and diesel vehicles and Part 2: For off-vehicle chargeable hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles. ——This is the second revision.   Introduction The energy consumption label of light-duty vehicles is direct to consumers and provides consumers with information about automobile energy consumption, which is of great significance for guiding consumers to buy energy-efficient vehicles and transforming vehicle ownership structure to high-efficiency energy-efficient vehicles, and is an important link in automobile energy-efficient management all over the world. GB 22757 Fuel consumption label for light vehicle aims to establish the content, format, material and pasting requirements of the label, which is proposed to consist of three parts, ——Part 1: For gasoline and diesel vehicles. The purpose is to establish energy consumption labels applicable to vehicles of Categories M1, M2 and N1, which are capable of fueling gasoline or diesel fuels and have a maximum design total mass not exceeding 3,500 kg. ——Part 2: For off-vehicle chargeable hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles. The purpose is to establish the energy consumption labels applicable to off-vehicle chargeable hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles of Categories M1, M2 and N1, with a maximum design total mass not exceeding 3,500 kg. ——Part 3: For single fuel vehicles other than gasoline and diesel vehicles. The purpose is to establish energy consumption labels applicable to single fuel vehicles other than gasoline and diesel vehicles. As vehicles of different energy types need to show different information to consumers, different documents are compiled according to the energy types of applicable vehicles, which complement each other and constitute the energy consumption label standard system of light vehicles in China. In the future, vehicles with more energy types will be incorporated as appropriate according to the industrial development to perfect the energy consumption label standard system of light vehicles in China. Energy consumption label for light-duty vehicles - Part 1: For gasoline and diesel vehicles 1 Scope This document specifies the content, format, materials and pasting requirements of the energy consumption label of light-duty vehicles. This document is applicable to vehicles of Categories M1, M2 and N1 which are capable of fueling gasoline or diesel fuels and have a maximum design total mass not exceeding 3,500 kg, and not applicable to off-vehicle chargeable hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles, and vehicles only capable of fueling other single fuel. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard.
