3 Terms and Definitions
Terms and definitions as defined in GB 24539—2025 and GB/T 12903, and the following apply to this document.
3.1 Chemical protective clothing
Clothing designed to protect against chemical hazards.
Note: May cover the entire body or specific parts, and can be a combination of multiple protective garments or used with other protective equipment.
3.2 Fully encapsulated chemical protective clothing
Clothing that fully covers the wearer (and respiratory equipment) and provides airtight and/or liquid-tight protection.
3.3 Non-encapsulated chemical protective clothing
Clothing that protects most of the body (at least torso, arms, and legs) but does not cover respiratory equipment.
