1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and marking, requirements and test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and safety for blended biodiesel for automotive diesel fuel, which is blended from biodiesel and petroleum diesel.
This document is applicable to blended biodiesel for automotive diesel fuel used in compression-ignition engines, with ester-based biodiesel or hydrocarbon-based biodiesel as the blending component.
Note: In this document, "blended biodiesel for automotive diesel fuel" is the general term for "B7 automotive diesel fuel and H20 automotive diesel fuel".

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
biodiesel
A diesel-range liquid fuel obtained from biomass through chemical reaction processes.
Note: Biodiesel includes ester-based biodiesel and hydrocarbon-based biodiesel.
3.2
ester-based biodiesel
Fatty acid monoalkyl esters produced by the reaction of animal/vegetable oils or waste oils with alcohols (e.g., methanol or ethanol).
Note: The most typical ester-based biodiesel is fatty acid methyl ester (FAME), denoted as BD100.
3.3
hydrocarbon-based biodiesel
A diesel-range liquid alkane mixture obtained from animal/vegetable oils, waste oils or their derivatives through hydroprocessing technology, or from biomass through Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.

B7 automotive diesel fuel
A fuel blended from 1 % to 7 % by volume of ester-based biodiesel (BD100) and automotive diesel fuel meeting GB 19147 (Ⅵ) (except for lubricity requirements), suitable for use in compression-ignition engine vehicles.

H20 automotive diesel fuel
A fuel blended from 10 % to 20 % by volume of hydrocarbon-based biodiesel and automotive diesel fuel meeting GB 19147 (Ⅵ), suitable for use in compression-ignition engine vehicles.
