GB 26134-2024 Roof crush resistance of passenger cars 1 Scope This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods of the roof crush resistance of passenger cars and the judgment of the same type. This document is applicable to Category M1 cars, not applicable to convertibles. 2 Normative references The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies. GB 11551 Protection of occupants in event of a frontal collision for motor vehicle 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply. 3.1 sunroof fixed or movable (sliding and/or angular opening) roof cover 3.2 front windshield trim any trim between the windshield and the outer surface of the roof 3.3 raised roof protruding area of the roof system (located at the top of the passenger cabin, consisting of the skeleton, panel interior and related car body accessories, etc.). 3.4 altered roof replacement roof that is reinstalled at a height higher than the original roof of the vehicle which has been partially or completely removed Note: If part or all of the original roof of a vehicle is altered by a roof with safety glass material and the alteration roof is mounted on the same plane as the original roof, the roof is not considered as an altered roof (e.g. T-shaped roof and sunroof). 3.5 roof over the front seat area roof portion in front of the transverse vertical plane 162 mm rearward from point H when the front outboard seat is in the last lowest locked position Note: It includes front windshield trim. 4 Technical requirements According to the test method specified in Clause 5, for vehicles with symmetrical body structure, one side is randomly selected to carry the load; for vehicles with asymmetric body structure, the weaker side of the vehicle body structure is selected to carry the load. The load is 3.0 times the curb weight of the whole vehicle or 45.0 kN (whichever is the less). When the load reaches the specified value, the movement of the lower surface of the loading device shall not be greater than 127 mm, and the resultant force on the head form shall not be greater than 222 N (g=9.8 N/kg). 5 Test method 5.1 Before the test, support the vehicle with its tires off the ground, rigidly fix the vehicle sill beams and frame (if applicable) to a horizontal plane, adjust the vehicle so that the longitudinal pitch angle at the sill beams on both sides is 0°±0.5°, and the vertical distance difference between the reference points on the lower surfaces of the sill beams on both sides and the horizontal plane is not greater than 10 mm. Close all windows, close and lock all doors, close all sunroofs and sunshades. Remove roof racks and other non-structural parts. According to the requirements of the manufacturer, the test may be carried out using a body-in-white fitted with all the components necessary for the test. 5.2 The front outboard seat of the vehicle is adjusted to the specified position as follows. a) For longitudinally adjustable outboard front seats, they shall be locked in the middle position of travel or the rearward position closest to the middle position; if it may be adjusted individually in the vertical direction, it shall be adjusted to the design position or intermediate position specified by the manufacturer. b) The seat back is adjusted to the design position specified by the manufacturer or, if no position is specified, to a position reclined rearward by 25° from the vertical face. c) Place any adjustable headrest in the highest and foremost positions. d) Adjust the seat lumbar support so that the lumbar support is in its lowest and fully retracted or retracted position. e) Other adjustable devices of the seat or other support devices of the seat are in the lowest or undeployed position. 5.3 Adjust the front outer seat of the vehicle to the specified position in accordance with 5.2, install the three-dimensional H-point device in accordance with GB 11551, and adjust the shank length of the three-dimensional H-point device to 414 mm and the thigh length to 401 mm. Keep the position of the three-dimensional H-point device unchanged, remove two trunk counterweight blocks on the left and right sides, alter them with trunk counterweight blocks of the headrest measuring device, install the headrest measuring device on the three-dimensional H-point device, and adjust the headrest measuring device so that it is level. Measure and record the position of the top center of the headrest measuring device on the vehicle, remove the three-dimensional H-point device and headrest measuring device from the vehicle, and remove the front outboard seat and carpet of the vehicle. Head mode is installed on the body floor in the front loading side seating position, the head form is a rigid hemisphere with 165 mm in diameter. A triaxial force sensor is installed at the center of mass. Adjust the head form fixing bracket so that the top center of the head form coincides with that of the headrest measuring device. 5.4 The loading device is a rigid plate whose lower surface is a flat rectangular surface of 1 829 mm×762 mm. Position the loading device as shown in Figure 1 so that its longitudinal axis tilt angle is 5°±0.5° below the horizontal plane [see Figure 1a)] and parallel to the vertical plane passing through the longitudinal centerline of the vehicle; The horizontal axis camber angle is 25°±0.5° downward from the horizontal plane [see Figure 1 b)].
