Fastened parts shall not be loose. 5.3 Performance of Main Components (Parts) 5.3.1 Power Supply 5.3.1.1 Signaling appliances powered by an external power supply shall be supplied by the connected control and indicating equipment. 5.3.1.2 When the signaling appliance is powered by a DC voltage, its power input terminals shall have protection against reverse polarity connection. 5.3.1.3 When the signaling appliance uses an external power supply and has an internal standby battery, the external power supply shall serve as the main power source, and the standby battery shall be a rechargeable battery.
