1 Scope
This document specifies the performance requirements, component requirements, inspection rules, nameplate and operating instructions for pressure boosting type and pressure stabilizing type water supply equipment used for fireprotection, gives the product classification and model designation methods, and describes the corresponding test methods.
This document applies to the design, manufacture and inspection of fixedly installed pressure boosting type and pressure stabilizing type water supply equipment used for fireprotection that are equipped with lowvoltage motors.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB 27898.1 and the following apply.
3.1 pressure stabilizing type water supply equipment used for fireprotection
Fixed fire protection water supply equipment, usually consisting of a pneumatic water tank and accessories, a pressure stabilizing pump unit, piping, valves and accessories, monitoring and control instruments, a control device, etc., used to maintain the daily pressure stability of the fire protection system piping network.
