1 Scope
This standard specifies the structure of the table of excepted quantities of dangerous goods, the excepted quantities of dangerous goods and the general requirements, packaging, packages test, mark, documents, exemptions and other contents of dangerous goods transported in excepted quantities.
This standard is applicable to dangerous goods packed and transported in excepted quantities.

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 4122.1, GB 6944, GB 12268 and UN Recommendations on the transport of dangerous goods: Model regulations (sixteenth revised edition) (hereinafter referred to as Model regulations) apply.
4 General requirements
4.1 The dangerous goods applicable to be transported by excepted quantities are indicated by E1~E5, and the meanings of E1~E5 are shown in Table 1 and listed in the column of "excepted quantity" in Clause 6.
