3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 12903 and the following apply:
3.1 toxic and hazardous substances: Chemicals with inherent hazardous properties that may cause harm to health or the environment.
3.2 restricted substances: Substances permitted by relevant laws and regulations but subject to limitations on content or usage conditions.
4 Requirements for Toxic, Hazardous, and Restricted Substances
4.1 General Requirements
4.1.1 Toxic, hazardous, and restricted substances in PPE shall meet the requirements for ensuring the personal safety and health of workers.
4.1.2 The levels of toxic, hazardous, and restricted substances in PPE shall be within the safe limits acceptable to the majority of workers.
4.1.3 Materials used in PPE shall comply with the requirements for toxic, hazardous, and restricted substances, meet the functional requirements of PPE, and shall not reduce the overall protective effect of PPE.
4.2 Safety Requirements
4.2.1 Head Protection Equipment
Toxic, hazardous, and restricted substances in head protection equipment shall comply with the provisions of Table 1.
4.2.2 Eye and Face Protection Equipment
Toxic, hazardous, and restricted substances in eye and face protection equipment shall comply with the provisions of Table 2.

Test Methods for Toxic, Hazardous, and Restricted Substances
B.1 Head Protection
B.1.1 Sampling
Samples shall be disassembled based on differences in structure, material, and color, following the principle of splitting into homogeneous materials as much as possible. Test units shall be formed and prepared in accordance with the requirements specified in B.1.2 Test Methods. When disassembling by mechanical methods or tools, cross-contamination shall be minimized. The minimum quantity of samples shall ensure that the formed test units meet the sample preparation requirements of the test standards.
For multi-component substances that cannot be separated by mechanical methods, the potential impact of mixed testing on results shall be analyzed based on the characteristics of their material composition.
