本标准规定了汽车和挂车防飞溅系统的性能要求和测量方法。
本标准适用于：
1）安装在N、O类车辆上的防飞溅系统；
2）安装了3.1定义的防飞溅系统的N、O类完整车辆；
3）对于带驾驶室的车辆底盘，被驾驶室覆盖的车轮；
4）对于N1类、最大设计总质量不大于7500kg的N2类车辆，如果安装了满足GB 7063的护轮板，可认为满足本标准的要求。
