This standard specifies the classification, requirements, testing methods, testing codes and mark of the life buoy for ship; this standard is applicable to the design, manufacture and acceptance of the life buoy for all staffs in the ship and the offshore facility.
2 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this standard.

Integral life buoy
The life buoy manufactured by the circle all-in-one shaping technology.
2.2
Stuffing life buoy
The life buoy manufactured by the skin of the circle all-in-one shaping and the internal stuffing technology.
3 Classification and Marking
3.1 Classification
The life buoy is classified according to the manufacturing technology:
a)-Integral life buoy;
b)-Stuffing life buoy
3.2 Structural type
The structural type of the life buoy is detailed in Figure 1.
