physical damage or other damage to health, including long-term effects on health
[Source: GB 6675.1-2025, 3.8, modified]
3.5
hazard
potential source of harm
Note: term "hazard" may be defined as the cause or nature of a foreseeable harm (e.g., electrical shock hazard, folding clamping hazard, shear hazard, poisoning hazard, fire hazard, and drowning hazard)
[Source: GB 6675.1-2025, 3.9]
3.6
risk
probability that a certain hazard will cause harm will occur and the severity of the harm
[Source: GB 6675.1-2025, 3.10, modified]
3.7
accessible
in normal use by children, parts or components of children's products are accessible by any part in front of the shaft shoulder of an accessible probe described in GB 6675.2
3.8
opening
hole or gap formed by continuous or discontinuous edges
3.9
detachable/removable component
parts or components of children's products that are intended to be removable without the use of tools, such as screwdrivers, coins, or other objects
3.10
ball
spherical, olive-shaped, or oval object usually but not completely designed or intended to be thrown, slapped, kicked, rolled, thrown, or bounced
Note 1: This definition includes balls attached to a toy or object with a string, elastic cord or similar tether and any polyhedral, spherical, olive-shaped, oval-shaped, novel and small object designed or intended to be used as a ball attached to a plane
