1 Summary of Method
A 405ml test specimen of the oil and 45ml of distilled water shall be stirred together at a certain rate for 5min at 82℃ in a special graduated separatory funnel. After a 5h settling period following the stirring at a certain rate, percentage of water in the oil as well as the volumes of water and emulsion separating from the oil shall be measured and recorded.
