This document describes the apparatus, samples, test procedures, and test data processing for the performance testing of anti‑reflective coatings on coated lenses. This document applies to the testing of anti‑reflective coatings on coated lenses.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 26397 and the following apply.
3.1
anti-reflective coating; antireflection coating
coating applied to the surface of a lens in order to reduce light reflection at the lens surface
3.2
spectral reflectance
ρ(λ)
ratio of the reflected spectral flux to the incident spectral flux at a specific wavelength on the lens surface
Note: This generally refers to the value of a single surface of the lens. If it refers to both surfaces of the lens, this shall be indicated.
3.3
luminous reflectance
ρv
ratio of the reflected luminous flux to the incident luminous flux of a specific form of material (such as a lens, coating or filter) under a specified illuminant Mathematical formula:
