1. Scope
This standard specifies determination of chromium content in feeds by atomic absorption spectrometer and spectrophotometer.
For the purpose of this standard, Method 1 (atomic absorption spectrometry method) is applicable to feed material (including leather meal for feeds and hydrolyzed leather meal), trace mineral premix, compound premix, concentrated feed and formula feed; thereinto, the minimum detection limit by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry method is 0.005μg/kg, and that by flame atomic absorption spectrometry method is 150μg/kg. Method 2 (spectrophotometric method) in this standard is applicable to determination of chromium in feed material (including hydrolyzed leather meal) and formula feed.
