Their common chemical composition shall comply with the provisions of Table 1. When raw materials are bars and forgings, their chemical composition shall comply with the corresponding provisions of GB/T 14383. The manufacturer shall conduct chemical composition analysis of the raw materials used according to the heat number. The analysis method shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 223 (all parts) or the analytical methods specified in GB/T 4336, GB/T 11170, GB/T 20123, GB/T 20124 or GB/T 20125 for determining their chemical composition, and the permissible variations in the chemical composition of the raw materials used shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 222. 5.2 The meanings represented by the material grade designations for pipe fittings are as follows: a) CF is the abbreviation for carbon steel fitting, with the following digits indicating the minimum tensile strength of the pipe fitting; the suffix letter K indicates that this grade requires impact test qualification at 20°C; b) AF is the abbreviation for alloy steel fitting, with the following digits adopting characteristic numbers familiar within the industry; the suffix letter G indicates that this grade has higher tensle properties; c) LF is the abbreviation for low temperature steel fitting, with the following digits indicating the minimum tensile strength of the pipe fitting; the suffix letters K1, K2, K3 and K4 respectively represent the minimum use temperatures of -20°C, -46°C, -104°C and -196°C; d) SF is the abbreviation for stainless steel fitting, with the following digits adopting characteristic numbers familiar within the industry; the suffix letters L and H respectively represent lower and higher carbon content; the suffix chemical element symbol indicates that its content is restricted.
