This document is applicable to the retreaded pneumatic tyres for passenger cars. 2 Normative references The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies. GB/T 521 Test methods for measuring peripheral dimensions of tyres GB/T 2978 Size designation, dimensions, inflation pressure and load capacity for passenger car tyres GB/T 4502 Laboratory test methods for passenger car tyres capabilities GB/T 6326 Tyre - Vocabulary GB 9743 Passenger car tyres HG/T 2177 Appearance quality of tyres 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 6326 apply. 4 Technical requirements 4.1 Tyre selection 4.1.1 Tyres that have already been retreaded shall not be retreaded again. 4.1.2 Tyres intended for retreading shall have the following information on their sidewall markings: ——Tyre specification; ——Speed symbol (or maximum driving speed); ——Load index (or maximum load-carrying capacity or level); ——"CCC" and other certification markings. 4.1.3 Tyres that fall under any of the following conditions shall not be used for retreading: ——The production date exceeds 5 years; ——The speed symbol is less than or equal to L (120 km/h); ——There are obvious damages caused by overloading or underinflation; ——The carcass ruptures or undergoes abnormal deformation; ——The bead is broken or damaged; ——There is obvious erosion by oil or chemical substances or water; ——The tread is polished and the cord is exposed; ——The sidewall is worn and the cord is exposed; ——Any part of the tyre shows delamination or voids; ——The structure of the sidewall area is damaged; ——The inner liner is aged or damaged and cannot be repaired; ——The inner line of the tyre without the inner tube is aged or damaged and cannot be repaired; ——The belt has curled edges and looseness; ——The carcass undergoes cord breakage or misalignment; ——Although the tread still has remaining patterns, the uneven local wear has damaged the breaker or belt; ——There are damages on the sidewall and shoulder, along with aging cracks or cuts in the ply; ——The carcass has a puncture injury.
