本标准规定了铂合金中钨量的测定。本部分适用于ＰｔＷ 合金中钨含量的测定。测定范围（质量分数）：７％～１０％。本部分代替ＧＢ／Ｔ１５０７２．１７—１９９４《贵金属及其合金化学分析方法　铂合金中钨量的测定》。本部分与ＧＢ／Ｔ１５０７２．１７—１９９４相比，主要有如下变动：
———标准名称由ＧＢ／Ｔ１５０７２．１７—１９９４《贵金属及其合金化学分析方法　铂合金中钨量的测定》变更为《贵金属合金化学分析方法　铂合金中钨量的测定　三氧化钨重量法》；
———按新标准编写的要求对溶液的配制、浓度的表示等进行了修订；
———将原标准范围ＰｔＷ８、ＰｔＷ８．５修改为本标准适用于ＰｔＷ 合金中钨含量的测定；
———按照ＧＢ／Ｔ２０００１．４—２００１格式要求重新编写。
